Paddy Foley's bi-monthly pub quiz parties continue with our Bastille Day/Independence Day theme installment and already we see a pattern with the Japan GAA team, DIVAs and Team Bruce taking the honours in this year's quiz parties thus far, although. Tonight's brain sporting event will pit these giants with a host of other teams to see who will be Paddy Foley's Pub Quiz Champion of 2009! To date the 'Bruces' pub quiz teams have been sweeping the boards and in the Sept 10 edition came first, second and third ('Bruce Almighty', The 'Brucettes', and 'What did Bruce Say?)
This week's pub quiz was extra special as it fell on Arthur's Day, the 250th anniversary since Arthur Guinness created Guinness. With special happy hour for Guinness, Black Velvet cocktails and Guinness-flavoured meals and snacks, and the appearance of 'Wild Things' Ashley, Rebecca and Katy, back together for a reunion (separated now by work abroad), singing louder than the speakers, we all had a memorable Arthur's night.
Established now as a regular event on the Paddy Foley's calendar, our pub quizzes are a chance for you and your friends to pit your skills against Tokyo's finest minds on general knowledge, special topics and just plain odd-ball puzzlers. Whoever wins, it is a great fun night to spend after work and a chance to meet new people. Prizes for 1st., 2nd. and 3rd place with an entry fee of just ¥500 per person. All welcome to make teams of up to 6 people.
