Paddy Foley's staff, nackered after a hectic few months from St. Patrick's Day festivities to all night EURO 2008 pub events all went out for a well-earned break on June 30th, a Monday. Never in 5 years had Neil decided to close Paddy Foley's in the month of June but what's seldom is wonderful as they say. Our first point of attack was a stealth raid on the Ninja restaurant in Akasaka-Mitsuke where we were feted upon with a bountiful supply of traditional Ninja style cooking. From stuffed mussels to hot-stoned salad to vegetable and seafood wonders we were all entertained delightfully and the magic show towards the end was a source of amazement. Having made our fill with our Ninja hosts, we then 'motowned' our way to 'Sam & Dave's' nearby and welcomed by the friendly manager three, Rusty, we sampled the many attractions of this newly opened pub/club. With the odd one or five 'strong' orange juices we all took turns at Jengu with Neil never dropping the pegs while all others fell by the way side :-) With dancing on tables, couples kissing, darts and billiards and the Paddy Foley's staff version of some Bon Jovi classics done, we decided then to raid the Indians in Geronimo's where Sam and Kevin took the full brunt of the Paddy Foley's attack. We were met there by scenes of 'belly' shots being drunk live from a table-topping belle and proceeded to have our own shots by beating the crap out of the 'shot' drum hanging ever so enticingly before us. Singing, dancing, high-5s and smiles all round we rocked and DJ'd there till it was bright and SURVIVED intact and not a hair out of joint anywhere. Thanks to Sam and Kevin for looking after us and indeed to Rusty at Sam & Dave's and indeed thanks to PF staff for a great night.
